Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson has tested positive for the coronavirus, a department spokesperson said Monday.
Carson, 69, is the second senior Trump administration official who attended an election night event at the White House to contract the virus, CBS News reported.
Hundreds of people attended the party in the East Room, where few people wore masks or practiced social distancing.
On the weekend, it was announced that White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and four other unnamed staffers had contracted the virus. Meadows also attended the election night party, CBS News reported.
