Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages | KETO-MOJO BLOG

Beaujolais is the southernmost region of Burgundy, France, near the city of Lyon.  Beaujolais wines are made primarily from the Gamay grape,  a cross of Pinot Noir and the ancient white variety Gouais.

We love this wine for its lively fresh flavors of strawberry, cherry, and raspberry chocolate that end with some peppery notes. This is a fruit-forward, juicy wine that’s super diverse, easily paired with a variety of cuisines, and enjoyable on its own.

Alcohol is typically 12-13.0%.

It can be readily found at supermarkets and wine.com for about $10-$12.

Fun Fact: chilling this wine is common in Beaujolais and brings out its fruity flavors.  You want it chilled (about 15 minutes in the refrigerator), not cold.
